World renowned air show pilot Matt Chapman will return to Battle Creek in 2019. There may be no performer that has performed in Battle Creek more times than Mr. Chapman. Matt began flying airshows/aerobatics in 1984 and quickly worked his way up on the competition world. He represented the United States at the 1996 and 1998 World Aerobatic Championships and ended up finishing with a bronze medal in 1998, where he was also a part of the United States' silver medal finish. He also received the coveted Hillard Trophy that year. While Matt has performed numerous times in Battle Creek, he has done it in the Mudry CAP 580 in the past. However, he now performs in the BRAND NEW Extra 330LX, and he will be bringing that to Battle Creek in 2019. During the course of his performance, Matt Chapman will fly tradition aerobatic maneuvers as well as original maneuvers that he has created himself over the years. This is impressive talent by an aerobatic superstar that you will not want to miss! Matt will be a part of our air shows on July 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th.
