The future of air shows is here! Not only will Twin Tigers present a new take on aerial entertainment, but the Immortal Red Baron will do so as well.
The Immortal Red Baron is a theatrical air show performance about the most famous fighter pilot in history. This new approach to entertainment in aviation combines narrative storytelling with live-action aerial dog fighting maneuvers, characters in authentic costumes, propane machine guns, as well as special themed music and sound effects. The Immortal Red Baron must always be prepared and on the lookout for the enemy. Essentially, the Immortal Red Baron takes concepts inspired by live theatre, theme parks, sporting events and the film industry and puts it together with aerial demonstration concepts in a cohesive package that is guaranteed to take spectators' breath away. The act is so creative that the team won the Gold Pinnacle Award for Civilian Performance Creativity at the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) Convention in Las Vegas.
The man behind "The Red Baron" is none other than Mr. Stefan Trischuk. After several years of performing on the air show circuit, he saw an opportunity to create a performance that would enhance entertainment value. He gathered a team of marketing and entertainment experts to closely examine proven entertainment concepts and their effect on the audience in other forms of successful live entertainment outside of the airshow industry. They concluded that audiences today are responding to story-based experiential entertainment that makes them feel like they are a part of the show. With this in mind, Trischuk and his team set out to create The Immortal Red Baron.
The aircraft used in the performance is a one-of-a-kind, custom built, replica World War I fighter plane. It has been re-designed to take the stress of 10G and uses an engine producing three times the power of the original plane. This special aircraft was chosen for its ability to reproduce the high-performance dog-fighting seen in popular movies such as "Flyboys" and "The Red Baron".
We don't want to give too much about the act away, but you definitely will NOT want to miss it. It is an air show act on a completely different level. You'll get to feel like you are a part of the act and not just watching it. The WWI aircraft will duke it out in the skies with Stephen Covington from SRC Airshows with guns a blazin'! You won't want to miss this act at this year's air show!
